Fees & Membership
For all of our classes you can book for 2 pay as you go trials sessions consisting of either 45 minutes or hour depending on the chosen activity. Prices for these sessions depend on venue and are available to view when booking through our online booking system. You can find that on our timetable page by clicking here. You can then find the venue & session you are looking for and selecting “Booking & Info”. This will provide the cost for the trial session as well as the monthly cost.
The trial sessions the Adult/Carer can sit in and watch and gives you and your child an opportunity to ensure they are happy with both the coaches and equipment and comfortable enough to move forwards. We do ask parents dont sit in after this to ensure gymnasts can focus.
If you decide to continue after the trial sessions you would then need to pay the remainder of the booking for that month. Club billing is then on a monthly basis and can either be through the Class4Kids site, standing order or BACS directly, details of which can be provided.
It is recommended that for new starters they start with just 1 hour sessions per week and increasing will be discussed with their coach to ensure they are comfortable enough with any rise in training sessions. Prices for more than a single session will be shared with you directly. We look for our squad members to be training between 4-6 hours per week.
Like all sports, Trampoline & Gymnastics has a governing body which in this instance is British Gymnastics. As such both clubs and members taking part require to be a member of any Gymanstics & Trampoline Club. Firstly there is Club Membership paid annually which is currently £20 per year and paid in September. This covers Club insurance and affiliation with British Gymnastics London and allows us to hold events such as the Twizzlers Display and Internal Competitions throughout the year.
If you decide you wish to continue with Twizzlers, you also need to become a member of British Gymnastics which is the Sports Governing Body in England. For both recreational trampoline & gymnastics as well as being able to take part in local competitions for trampoline Aspire and for Gymnastics (Pre-Squad Comp?), this is currently priced at £22 per year and is paid directly to British Gymnastics. For our Senior Squad members and those competing at Trampoline Inter-Regional Level 1 and above and Gymanstics (Zinc???????? and above) this is £60. British Gymnastics membership needs to be joined directly through the BG website and cannot be paid through the club. Membership runs from October – September every year and renewals due in October. If you are unsure please speak to Mel or Angie and they will advise which membership you require. At all levels membership goes towards personal insurance, safeguarding and promoting the sport at grass roots level. For more details on what BG membership fees go towards please click here.
We are normally open 50 weeks per year with the only 2 weeks we don’t train are during Christmas when the caretakers at Riddlesdown also have a holiday. Waddon is normally term time only but we will advise on if we are able to run classes through School Holidays. We do however get caught out with events at the school and where we try and give as much notice sometimes it is out of our hands. If multiple sessions are impacted prices will be reflected accordingly or you do have the option to join another class to make up for any missed sessions.
