Trampoline & DMT Squad 2024

Over the last 10 years we  have increased from only 2 trampolinists to now over 25 members competing across a number of different competitions in both Trampoline & DMT. The lowest level we compete in is the London Aspire Challenge Cup. This is designed for those that want to compete above our own internal club level and is more relaxed in the way of competition. These are held 2-3 times a year alongside the Inter-Regional Cup at Redbridge and give our newer members the oppourtunity to jump on the same equipment as the higher levels and get used to competition environments. We are also then  able to assess them in a competition environment and look at areas to work on and hopefully if they want to start competing at the NDP levels

Alongside the Aspire Cup, London also runs the Inter-Regional Challenge Cup qualifiers. This is for trampolinists competing in Level 1 through to Level 4 an oppourtunity to represent London in the Inter-Regional Cup Finals. This is normally the top 2 ranked across each level & age range following a final.  For each level the Set Routine becomes more difficult and each squad member is required to be able to complete a minimum requirement laid out by British Gymnastics before they can move up the levels. Both 2023 & 2024 have seen us take a record 9 members across both trampoline & DMT to represent london in the I Finals with Twizzlers coaches also being asked to represent Team London

Alongside this we also compete in the National Trampoline & DMT league which is held over 3 weekends before a final in October. Points are awarded based on position in each event and the top 24 from across all 3 events qualify to jump in the finals which this year are being held in Derby. There are 4 leagues starting with League 3, League 2, League 1 & Super League. Each league has a minimum requirements of difficulty for the Voluntary routine and this year are being held in Birmingham, Cardiff & Newcastle. This year we will be having our most ever entries in League 2 for Trampoline

2024 sees us enter the English Trampoline & DMT qualifiers for the first time which is a huge achievement for their dedication and hard work put in over the last few years. Firstly we have Tom who will be competing in both DMT & Trampoline alongside Alex who this year will just be competing in Trampoline. The first qualifiers are being held in June with the second the week after the Inter-Regional Finals in July.

The squad normally trains between 4-6 hours per week with most of them doing both Trampoline & DMT. The squad are also invited to attend a training camp in the Algarve in Loule which is an oppourtunity to work with some extremely talented international coaches some of which are their own National Coaches. 

 This is for those who either are just starting out orSince we started the Trampoline squad has increased from 4 to currently 16 members. Our trampoline & DMT squad  takes part in the London Region Trampoline & Tumbling Aspire, Club & Challenge Cup and the National Trampoline & DMT League. 2023 saw us take a record 9?? members of twizzlers to represent London at the Inter-Regional Challenge Cup Finals in Birmingham. We are also working towards competing at higher levels and fill it out some more Majority of the squad currently train upto 6 hours  a week across both Trampoline & those that compete for DMT as well. We are pleased to say that we have had huge success over the last few years. The squads have also had the oppourtunity to attend a training camp in portgual to add to their skills learnt with Twizzlers.
